MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., (October 28, 2024) – Elizabeth Coveney will step into the role as Vice President of Restaurant Technologies’ McDonald’s Business Unit (MBU) on October 31st. Lisa Merryfield, current Vice President of the MBU, will be retiring at the end of 2024.  Lisa and Elizabeth will work together through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition internally and with McDonald’s customers.

Coveney will lead a team that services about 11,000 McDonald’s customers at its 41 depots nationwide. The MBU will continue as part of the commercial operations team, and Coveney will report directly to Chief Commercial Officer Chris Hellmann.

“Elizabeth has the proven leadership ability and established industry relationships to step into this pivotal role with one of our most valued customers,” said Hellmann. “McDonald’s serves as the backbone of our customer base and we will continue being proactive in meeting their needs in this ever-changing industry.”

My experience in navigating challenges, launching new business initiatives, and delivering consistent results has prepared me for this next chapter,” said Coveney. “I am excited to serve as Vice President of McDonald’s Business Unit where I will focus on delivering innovative solutions that support restaurant operations and enhance customer experience.”
